Qualifications and experience required:

• Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.

Job Description

This person will lead One Acre Fund's government relations and policy work in Dar and help grow the scope of our local government relations:

-National relationship management: The analyst will be responsible for maintaining existing government and policy relationships, making new contacts at the national level, and assessing future sectors of importance to One Acre Fund’s. They will host national-level officials for visits to our field operations and deliver high quality communications.
-Regulatory compliance: One Acre Fund requires multiple licenses and permits in order to conduct its work, and the analyst will own relationships with all key regulators. In several instances regulators require periodic reports which the analyst will coordinate. Further, the analyst will regularly assess operational plans and make recommendations on current and future compliance with laws and regulations.
-Anticipating risks to Tanzania field operations: The analyst will assess risks or changes in the operating environment that could negatively affect One Acre Fund's trials and field work and advise field leadership on strategic decisions.
-Local government relationships: The analyst will manage the work of our local government officers to maintain positive relationships at district and regional levels and help grow the team’s scope of work through strategic advice on local government relations work plans.

Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI) is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism. TAWIRI has the mandate to conduct, supervise and coordinate wildlife research in the United Republic of Tanzania. The Institute has its Headquarters in Arusha and five Research Centers namely, Njiro Wildlife Research Centre (NWRC) in Arusha, Kingupira
Wildlife Research Centre (KWRC) in Selous Game Reserve, Serengeti Wildlife Research Centre (SWRC) in the Serengeti National Park, Mahale Wildlife Research Centre (MWRC) in Mahale and Gombe Wildlife Research Centre (GWRC) in Gombe National Park respectively in Kigoma Region. Accounts Assistant II (1 POSITION)
Qualification and Experience
Holder of Certificate in Accounting or Finance or its equivalent
Age should not be more than 40 years old.

Work station: Kingupira Wildlife Research Centre-Selous.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To reconcile fees register.
To receive and keep in proper custody bills, invoices and other claims pending payment.
To maintain an updated Cheque register.
To prepare bank reconciliation statements.
To reconcile general ledger balances with subsidiary ledger balances.
To assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor(s).

Salary Scale: PGSS 3.

Senior Accounts Assistant II (2 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS

B.Com in Accounting or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy Professional Level II intermediate stage moduleC& D.
At least one year experience from a reputable organization.
Should have good understanding of the accounting principles and should be a team player able to 'work in a fast paced cross functional environment.
Should have good analytical communications, interpersonal and computer skills.
Should be not more than thirty five (35) years of age.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Verification of work done at lower levels
Keep financial records
Review progress reports and initiate appropriate measures
Handle correspondence with customers.
Supervise sectional staff.
Assist in the implementation of accounting and financial functions.
Initiate proposals for changes and improve talents in working procedures.
Handling correspondences and queries on accounting matters.
Any other duty may be assigned.

DUTY STATION
Successful candidates will be stationed at the Tanzania Posts Corporation Offices in Zanzibar and Mtwara.

REMUNERATION:
The above post carries competitive remuneration as per Tanzania Posts Corporation salary structure and incentive package.
