POSITION OBJECTIVE

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for provision of mother and child health services
• Provides community based education health
• Nursing patients and take record of patients vital signs
• Administer medicines and drugs as prescribed by clinical officer
• Provide professional care for patients recovery physical and well-being
• Provide and maintain update inventory of all dispensary facilities and report in case of any damage to the appropriate authority.

Holder of Diploma in Nursing Midwifery

• When requested by the Chief of Party, present ASSIST Tanzania at partner's coordinating meetings, and GoT;

Job Description
TWESA is a Tanzanian NGO that was formed in 1997 to relieve suffering of disaster victims in emergencies and of poor communities in needy areas, through development and implementation of improved and protected water supply, environmental sanitation and hygiene.
TWESA implements water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services and facilities in the Kagera and Kigoma regions of Tanzania, including in the Nyarugusu, Nduta and Mtendeli refugees camps.

Roles and responsibilities
The Program Manager will be based in the town of Kasulu in the Kigoma region and be directly responsible to the TWESA Executive Director. The responsibilities of the Program Manager will include the following:

• Assist with fundraising efforts, including project design, preparation of funding proposals and donor identification and communication
• Communicate and work with donors and partners on project planning, implementation and reporting and keep all relevant agencies up to date on project progress
• Facilitate regular staff meetings to ensure awareness of project objectives and provide an opportunity for feedback and discussion
• Positively represent TWESA in all public forums and ensure high visibility of TWESA
• Support the TWESA head office in its work and maintain constant communication regarding progress, achievements and challenges

Required Academic Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor degree or equivalent in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering, Public Health, Community Development or similar
• A qualification in management or social work is a plus

Desired Professional Competencies:
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the NGO sector, especially in a WASH and/or humanitarian context
• Minimum of 3 years’ management experience, with strong staff leadership skills
• Excellent project management skills, including financial, report writing, fundraising and administration skills
• Previous experience working in complex and volatile environments, especially with refugees
• Proven experience in achieving excellent project results and building strong donor relationships
• Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, email and internet
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and verbal
