NATURE AND SCOPE:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL REPORT TO THE RESPECTIVE CREDIT
MANAGER'S IN MICROFINANCE, SME AND HOUSING LOANS DEPARTMENTS. HE/SHE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MARKETING OF POTENTIAL BORROWERS, UNDERTAKE COMPREHENSIVE LOAN ANALYSIS FOR LOAN APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED, ENSURE APPROVAL AND REPAYMENT OF ALL LOANS WITHIN HIS/HER LOAN PORTFOLIO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• MARKET THE BANKS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES;
• SOLICIT LOAN APPLICATIONS FROM POTENTIAL BORROWERS, COLLECT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATIONS AND EXAMINE BOTH THE COMPLETENESS AND CORRECTNESS;
• VISIT AND VALIDATE THE LOAN APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION REGARDING THE BUSINESS', COLLATERAL, GUARANTORS, INCLUDING TO OBTAIN APPROPRIATE IDENTIFICATION OF THE BUSINESS OWNERSHIP;
• UNDERTAKE APPRAISAL OF THE LOAN APPLICATIONS INCLUDING ANALYSIS OF THE DATA AND EVALUATING THE PROJECT TO
• FACILITATE DECISION MAKING;
• INFORM THE LOAN APPLICANT ON THE DECISION MADE BY THE BANK AND NEXT STEPS RECOMMENDED;
• MONITOR CREDIT FACILITIES AND FINANCED PROJECTS TO
• ENSURE REPAYMENT AND PROPER USE OF FUNDS;
DEVELOP A STRONG AND QUALITY LOAN PORTFOLIO IN LINE WITH THE SET TARGETS; UNDERTAKE PROPER LOAN RECOVERY ACTIVITIES AS PRESCRIBED BY THE BANK; AND
CARRY OUT ANY OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR FROM TIME TO TIME.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
• UNIVERSITY GRADUATE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ECONOMICS, FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, BANKING OR RELATED DISCIPLINE.
• AT LEAST THREE (3) YEARS BANKING El(PERIENCE IN CREDIT
• WHICH INCLUDES EVALUATION OF LOAN APPLICATION PROPOSALS.

Description
Wellcome-trust is a U.S based and nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of children and families around the world. We focus on early childhood care and education, children’s rights, empowerment of women and girls, maternal/child health, and grassroots community development.
The Procurement Officer will assist the Procurement Manager with the procurement committee, drafting invitation bids, executing purchase orders and contracts, and ensuring that all procurement and logistical operations are executed in accordance with USAID regulations and Wellcome Trust policies. Tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:

The Procurement Officer should maintain the integrity of the procurement process, including accurate procurement documentation.
Ensure the assigned field?initiated procurement processes comply with regulations for goods and services including in-kind grants;
Determine the most reasonable, fair, and expeditious procurement alternatives for each activity and participate in activity work planning, and proactively conduct market research in support of anticipated operations and technical needs.
Act as a non-voting member of the procurement selection committee and ensures that the committee works collaboratively to evaluate proposals and documenting the vendor selection process.
Conduct vendor negotiations, negotiate purchase order terms, and write negotiation memoranda or source selection memo.
Initiate and maintain partnerships with external vendors by negotiating purchase order contracts and subcontracts with appropriate sources of equipment, supplies, services and travel;
Ensure that all procured goods are delivered on time, and inspect and accept goods and verify services offered.
Prepare and issue solicitations and amendments, service level agreements, blanket purchase agreements, purchase orders, modifications, and requests for operations subcontractor consent, as necessary.
Maintain and track all local procurement and operations subcontractor data in TAMIS, and ensure close?out documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Monitor, track and expedite the Hub’s procurement activities assigned and the delivery status of goods/services.
Coordinate and expedite purchases either locally or internationally, collaborating with the Home Office if necessary.
Train local staff in aspects of the procurement process, including evaluation committees.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Procurement Manager or Director of Operations or COP.
Qualifications:
University degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years procurement experience.
Knowledge of USAID procurement and logistics regulations.
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with computer-oriented procurement systems preferred.
Excellent ACPTS
Familiar with commodity management tracking systems.
Fluency in English
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Procurement Officer will report to the Procurement Manager or his/her designee.

WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) - the international conservation organization - is seeking to recruit a competent and motivated Assistant Accountant to be based in Dar es Salaam.

Main task: Under the directives of the Financial Analyst, the Assistant Programme Accountant's responsibilities will be to: provide hands on support to the Finance team on all financial and operational issues to ensure effective management of the TCO Programs and projects.
Oversee implementation of donor and WWF's operational policies, procedures standards and systems including budget management. financial reporting, audits etc.;.
Support and coordinate development of program's operational. strategic and business plans and ensure effective
implementation of the same, and Perform other functions as may be directed by the Financial
Analyst and TCO Head of Finance.

Major part of her/his responsibilities: Shall involve Cash Management such as to ensure that petty cash fund is locked in a secure place at all times. that all disbursements from the fund have proper back-up and supporting vouchers (i.e. IOUs, invoices and receipts) and are in accordance with current WWF Tanzania Purchasing Policies; ensure that at all times the total of the receipts plus the cash is equal the fund balance.; Ensure prepared PCVs indicate all necessary information (PCV No; Date; Payee; Payment description; Currency; WWF paying office; Payment Ref No.; GL code; Project No.; Donor No.; expenditure Details; and the amount to be paid.) Maintain petty cash summaries which should be balanced on a daily basis; Performance of regular Petty cash funds reconciliations; Performance of monthly petty cash reconciliation as of the last day of each month;
Ensure completion of a reconciliation form within 15 days of the required reporting date for
approval by Head of Finance.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have first degree in Accounting, with at least 2 years' work
experience as Accountant in a reputable organization; Experience working with international NGO
involved in environmental and/or community development programs would be an advantage.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili, proven experience and
sensitivity of working with people of different cultures
