Job Description
The Finance Manager’s role is to support the Head of Finance in the execution of their role including, but not limited to:
Finance
• Expense allocation and management;
o Ensure all expenses are allocated at the point they are incurred and have these reviewed by the Head of Finance before posting into the accounting system.
o Ensure timely posting of data into the accounting system by the 4th working day following each month.
o Posting invoices sent to partners in the system.
• Preparation of Tax invoices and EFD receipts
• Payments and submission of statutory returns online after review and approval by Head of Finance
• Initiate online payments under the instruction of Head of Finance, Country Manager TZ or CEO
• Ensuring the petty cash float is maintained;
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and submit to Head of Finance for review and approval;
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Preparation of a weekly cashflow analysis showing the cashflow requirements for the week and ensuring the cashbook balances are as accurate as possible at all times;
• Preparation of reports as required by partners for review by Head of Finance on a timely basis;
• Maintenance of assets including the petty cash and cash at bank, regular reconciliations of the assets, insurance of assets and ensuring that the fixed assets register is appropriately maintained;
• Assisting the Head of Finance in preparation of departmental budgets and budget variance analysis;
• Assisting the Head of Finance in the preparation of monthly finance & management reports;
• Assisting in the co-ordination of both partner and WTS TZ external audits as well as in the implementation of the recommendations;
• Ensuring all finance documents are appropriately filed in a timely manner;
• Monthly preparation of TZ payroll and timely payment of all deductions;
• Prepare and issue a financial progress report to FHI 360 on a monthly basis on or before the 10th of the following month on the required Sub Awardee Financial Report (SFR)
• Ensure that all cost sharing requirements for FHI360 are captured, recorded and submitted according to the requirements of the sub contract.
Procurement duties
• Ensuring Requests for Quotations are prepared and sent out for procurement over the specified threshold;
• Preparation of evaluation criteria and templates
• Assist in carrying out evaluations of quotations received and preparation of evaluation analysis;
• Preparation of procurement evaluation reports after conclusion of procurements;
• Ensure bidders are notified on the status of their quotations;
• Preparation of contracts/LPOs prior to supply of equipment or services by the successful bidder;
• Ensure the safe custody of all procurement files, records and documentation.
Fixed assets duties
• With the help of the Administrative Assistant, overseeing the procurement of fixed assets on receipt of a duly authorized procurement request form and maintenance of a fixed assets register with all the required details(updating the register immediately an asset is purchased and on a monthly basis) including sending out the requests for quotations to at least 3 suppliers and preparing the evaluation forms as per the procurement guidelines/procedures and
• Monthly review of the fixed asset register and reconciling the register to the general ledger for review by the Head of Finance. Reporting
The Finance Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Finance, and will be supported on a daily basis by the Country Manager Tz.
Team Participation
• Contribute to team building activities by sharing professional knowledge and assisting all members of the Tz team,
• Participate in important Finance related meetings and events, including but not limited to:
o Team and one on one meetings.
o Work plan setting.
o Performance Management.
o Team Training and Development.
o Quarterly and annual performance appraisal.
Other duties
• Posting of journals in time for monthly reporting after review by Head of Finance
• Any other duties as may be assigned by Head of Finance, Country Manager Tz and CEO
Schedule
• Regular working hours and a 5-day working week.
Location
Tanzania; Dar es Salaam with occasional travel to the WTS offices in Nairobi, Kenya.
Requirements
University Degree in Finance, Business Management or Accounting
A Professional qualification such as CPA or equivalent, with experience of accounting and financial management is an added advantage
At least 5 years' experience in an accounting/ financial administration
Expertise in overseeing the management of donor grants and developing budgets for donor funded development programmes e.g. USAID

The Administrative Director will be a valued member of our team responsible for collaborating on issues outside of just finance and HR. The position will require regular travel between multiple JBFC campuses to perform regular check-ins and audits of financial and HR materials.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounting
• You will take historical spending and future projections to determine annual budgets for all JBFC Campuses with input from the rest of the team.
• You will send monthly budget requests to the CEO in the U.S. office.
• You should oversee all in-country spending, working closely with the COO, Campus Director(s) and Logistics Coordinator to ensure budgets stay on target.
• You will input daily cash balance sheets into our online accounting system, Quickbooks, after receiving the pertinent information and receipts from the Campus Director(s) and/or Logistics Coordinator.

Human Resources and Administration
• You will be responsible for ensuring that all employee files and records (employee contracts, disciplinary action, incident reports, attendance reports, etc.) are consistent across the organization.

Nature and Scope:

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Credit and Business Management. He/She will have overall responsibility for the development and management of corporate relationships in the zone. He/she will also be responsible for the day to day administrative services of the Zonal Office.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify companies/institutions of good credit standing likely to have a requirement for the corporate banking services of TADB;
• Identify business opportunities and develop good customer relationships including cross selling of all TADB products, to achieve set targets;
• Prepare credit proposals for long term, Medium term and short term facilities within agreed quality and timescales;
• Collect, evaluate and document all required customer information and process credit approvals;
• Maintain client relationships including visiting existing customers monthly, and not less than once every quarter;
• Prepare report on each customer visit, highlighting all major business/environmental issues pertaining to the credit/customer, and including recommendations as appropriate;
• Assist clients applying for any of the bank’s facilities and services;
• Advise clients on financial and economic issues that could affect their businesses and/or the bank facilities;
• Process transactions, and liaise with relevant departments for documentation and conclusion of deals;
• Prepare and implement budgets and plans, including setting and achieving ambitious and measurable targets;
• Review work performance of staff in the Zonal Office including their development, deployment, appraisal, training and welfare in line with the bank’s objectives;
• Control expenditure within approved limits;

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Master’s Degree in Business Management/Administration, Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Banking or related discipline.
• At least 5 years working experience of which 2 must be in a senior/managerial position in related field.
• Ability to analyze financial and economic data and interpret them;
• Strong written and communication skills with ability to write reports in a concise and focused style.
• Possession of leadership and people management skills, and a team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize work load with minimum supervision.
• Computer literate with highly developed computer application skills.

The successful candidate will report to the Zonal Manager. He/she will be responsible for advising on monitoring and evaluation activities related to bank’s projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Visit project sites and submit call reports periodically;
• Ensure the receipt and review of periodical statements of balance sheet, profit and loss, inventory, receivables, etc. from the borrower as stipulated in the credit memo;
