Nature and Scope
The
successful candidate will report to the Manager, Hardware and
Networking. She/he will be responsible for designing, implementing,
documenting and performance tuning of the network infrastructure. She/he
will be involved in designing and implementing Network servers,
Computer systems, LANs, WANs, Network segments, and Internet
connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinating
development and implementation of Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) strategy in order to facilitate and support smooth
operations for the bank .
2. Designing, implementing and
maintaining Network servers, Computer systems, LANs, WANs, network
segments, and Internet Connectivity.
3. Administer servers,
desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, IP phones,
iPads, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
4.
Participate in advising Management on suitability of the network
infrastructure including any improvements required to meet current and
future business needs of the bank.
5. Ensure that all new
implementations of security solutions are in-line with the bank's
security requirements and comply with the bank's policies.
6. Secure network infrastructure to ensure availability, confidentiality and integrity of data at rest or while in transit.
7. Develop procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
8.
Stay current with technological developments in systems administration
technology and recommends ways for the bank to take advantage of new
technology.
9. Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation, Financial Regulations and ICT Policies
10. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
2. Master's Degree will be added advantage.
3. Minimum of four (4) years' experience in managing large and complex networks.
4.
Possession of professional industry certification (CISM, Certified,
Ethical Hacker, CCNA security, MCSE, CCNP) - CISCO and Microsoft
certifications.
1. S. Possession of advanced technical skill on Ms Exchange 2016.
5. Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016 Active directory (AD) servers administration.
6. Advanced skills on router, switch and firewall configurations.
7. Advanced skill on voice messaging routing and IP Phone configurations.
8. Highest degree of integrity, excellent and well developed interpersonal and 'organizational skills.
