The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) is focusing on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzanian people. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. In order to reach its goals, the Company will, in the coming years invest heavily in its generation, transmission and distribution network, its business systems and human capital. Reports to: Principal Engineer/Mains Engineer of respective Region.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
To ensure that all scheduled activities related to implementation of plans including, construction and maintenance of distribution networks are carried out effectively and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Construct and maintain distribution lines network in accordance with the company procedures and standards.
• Assist supervisor/engineer in preparing short t & long term plans construction/maintenance schedules for expansion of distribution
• Closely monitor load growth on secondary sub-station through periodic measurement.
• To conduct routine inspection of distribution lineses
• To maintain all equipment and working tools.
• Provide technical support to Foremen on construction and maintenance works.s.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annually report for record keeping, future references and submit to mains engineer/District Manager within agreed time.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Record periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
• Holder of FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institution.
• Secondary School Certificates Form IV/VI.
REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package based on performance and consummate with the responsibility will apply to the successful candidates. The position terms of employment are performance based unspecified contract.
