Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the following vacant position, at the College of Business Education (CBE). The College of Business Education was established by Act of Parliament, Act No. 31 of 1965. It is a Public Higher Learning Institution, which provides Teaching, Research and Consultancy Services in the fields of Accountancy, Procurement &
Supplies, Management Marketing, Legal and Industrial Metrology, ICT, General Management and other business related disciplines.
1. POSITION: Deputy Rector - Academic, Research and
Consultancy
QUALIFICATION:-
A holder of PhD in Finance, Accounting, Management, Procurement and Supplies, Legal and Industrial Metrology, Marketing, ICT, Computer Science and other any related field of which its course are taught at the College of Business Education. He or she should be at least an Associate Professor from recognized Higher Learning Institution and must possess at least 5 years working experience in senior managerial position in any reputable Higher Learning Academic Institution.
(i) Be responsible to the Rector in respect to such matters of education administration and delivery.
(ii) Deputize as Rector during his/her absence.
(iii) Supervise academic programmes of the college.
(iv) Be responsible for smooth running and development of academic operations at the College.
(v) Advises the Rector on all matters pertaining to academic management, quality, control and assurance.
(vi) Evaluate College academic programs, and recommend appropriately.
(vii) Recommend appropriate budget for academic operations.
(viii) Oversees research, publications and consultancy activities at the college.
(ix) Coordinates the development and establishment of academic programmes and management of academic resources.
(x) Oversee admission and examination rules.
(xi) Secretary to the College Academic Board.
(xii) Any other duties that may be assigned by appropriate authority.
