Agronomist - Tanzania
The incumbent will provide specialist technical support and liaise with all marketing staff, internal and external clients and farmers.
Main responsibilities:
Conduct and evaluate commercial trials and MINI PAT trials in secure and well managed sites
Coordinate trial planting in a wide area in order to gain data
Provide continuous technical development
Identify and coordinate technical training needs of sales representatives in cooperation with the Commercial Manager and Product Manager
Identify potential technical/product problems and be proactive
Investigate technical problems •Identify and analyse market and product trends as well as relevant information • Compile an annual regional programme according to the budget and coordinate with Product Manager’s wrt priorities and budget.
Qualifications
Requirements:
BSc Agric
MSc Agric (Hons) with experience would be ideal
2 years’ experience as a Trainee Agronomist
5 years’ Agronomist experience Driver’s licence
Periodic training courses
Knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics
Knowledge of the English language
Critical thinking skills
Verbal and written communication skill
