ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Financial Management Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Tanzania. Rural Urban Development Initiatives is requesting volunteer assistance improve their financial manual. The volunteer will review the manual, and ensure that it is compliant with donor and USAID regulations and requirements. The volunteer will also provide training on budgeting. The assignment will last for approximately three weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research previous to departure. Travel and living are covered.
Volunteer Qualifications:
A University degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related area
At least 10 years of experience working in Financial Management and Accounting
Experience working with NGO’s or Government Agencies that receive donor funding is preferred.
Excellent cross cultural communication skills
Ability to consolidate and relay information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to adapt to local situations
