CONSULTANCY, TRAINING AND PREPARATION OF THE 5 YEAR BUSINESS PLAN FOR KILOLO MALIMBICHI AGRICULTURAL MARKETING CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY (K-AMCOS) IN KILOLO DISTRICT, IRINGA REGION.
We are requesting you/your firm to apply for Business Planning Consultancy to maize farmers in Kilolo, Mtitu ward, Kilolo village.
Terms and Conditions are attached herewith.

PART A;
TABLE 1: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. The procuring entity;

   The Method of Selection is Combined quality and cost method
2. Mode of payment;
   The consultancy activity is expected to be completed within 25 business days and payments will be done on three instalments basis on 40:40:20 in the sense that 40% after signing contract and arriving at the workplace, 40% after submission and reviewal of 2nd draft, and 20% upon after completion of the assignment and submitting the documents in an agreed manner.
   Kilolo AMCOS will deduct 5% of total contract amount as statutory withholding tax.

4. Language;
   The tender shall be written in the English language.
5. Documents to be attached;
   Documents required to be submitted as the tender attachment are: copy of Business License, TIN Certificate and/VAT (if applicable), Extract from the Registrar (applicable for firm or Company), Company Profile, addresses and CVs of Key personnel, program/project timetable, Quoted rates for the whole assignment.
6. Required qualifications and Expectations;
   Members of the team to undertake this assignment will be expected to have the following qualifications:
   Assigned Consultant Team members:

1. Must hold minimum Advanced Diploma level qualification from a recognized institution, relating to Business Administration, Cooperative Management and Accounting, Marketing, Agronomy and/or Agriculture extension.
2. Have minimum 5 years’ direct work experience in the agricultural sector, with critical exposure to Agribusiness Planning and execution, Agro-marketing and/or capacity building to farmers.
3. Possess clear experience in community mobilization, staff and volunteer training, and mentorship approaches especially rural and farmer’s community.
4. Possess excellent presentation and communication skills – with community approachable personalities.
5. Languages required: Kiswahili and English; BUT only Swahili will be used during facilitation and preparation of guidelines and the business plan drafts.
6. Have ability to work efficiently and responsively within a multicultural environment, while demonstrating strong initiative and high degree of personal motivation.
7. The Consultant must be available, be willing and commit to working within timeline stipulated herein (strict and required).
8. Experience of working within Southern Highlands Zone of Tanzania, experience of working with cooperative organisation (especially AMCOS) or rural enterprises is an additional advantage.

   The minimum Technical Score required to pass is: 85 Points.
5. Duration of an assignment and its commencement;
   The assignment will last for 25 business days. Consecutive 5 days of effective consultation, 1 day for reviewing 1st draft, and a day to review 2nd draft. Other days for preparation and review of business plan document.
   The assignment is expected to commence within June 2017
   12). K-AMCOS is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender.
   The successful consultant will be selected based on the tender submission made.
   13). Participant;
   The Consultant will work with Leaders, Staff and Lead farmers.
   Total number of participants is expected not to be more than 21.
   14). Tender Deadline:
   The deadline for receipt of completed tenders is 16:00hrs Thursday 22nd June, 2017. Incomplete tenders and Tenders received after this time will not be accepted
