The Association of Private Health Facilities in Tanzania (APHFTA) is a
Non-Governmental Organization that exists to serve as a public forum for
the private health sector and provide a comprehensive array of
advocacy, administrative, knowledge-sharing and networking products and
services to the private health sector. APHFTA is dedicated to improving
the quality of healthcare services in the Private Health Sector in
Tanzania. APHFTA is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the
positio of Quality Assurance officer: -
APHFTA is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer for the Malaria Project in Geita. Reporting to the Project Coordinator, this position is based in Geita and on open-ended contract.
Key Responsibilities will include:
-Participate in Planning and implementation of Quality improvement activities in APHFTA
-Participate in developing Malaria project budgets, budget forecasts, budget follow-ups
-Provide training and technical support to APHFTA members in the quality improvement process
-Perform baseline health facilities assessments, assist in developing, dissemination and monitoring of Quality improvement plans implementation
-Ensure that quality improvement plans are properly implemented and synchronized with the approved business plans
-Develop monthly, quarterly and annual Malaria project reports in collaboration with other staff
-Coordinate between the project’s internal and external interfaces
-Participate in meetings with APHFTA members, partners and stakeholders as assigned by the supervisor
Key Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required
-Minimum of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/ Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or any health equivalent health related field
-Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences/ Medicine/ Nursing or equivalent degree will be an advantage
-At least 2 years experience in the relevant field with some experience of working in performance improvement/quality management position
-Ability to work with several facilities and partners with a focus on achieving a common goal
-Communication and interpersonal skills for frequent contact with internal and external stakeholders of the APHFTA to persuade and negotiate on matters of relevance to the project
-A good understanding and experience in Project management and working towards achieving project’s objectives
-Great attention to details and committed to deliver quality work consistently
-Leadership skills, including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability
-Good Computer skills in MS excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet e.t.c
