CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to operate Jumbo drilling rigs for mine development and install ground support according to quality specifications safely and efficiently. Jumbo Operator is accountable for minimization of secondary breakage and over break and correct installation of ground support systems in accordance to the geotechnical plan..
ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
A Jumbo operator has the following accountabilities and authorities:
• Accountable for the operation of a single and! or double boom jumbo drilling rig for underground development mining with installation of ground support: drilling holes into the walls and roofs of the underground mine shafts. These holes are used to bolt down and stabilise the, mine by meshing the walls and roof.Source: AjiraLeo Tanzania
• Ensures execution of end to end drilling activities using a single/ double boom jumbo drilling rig in the underground mines.
• Mark up faces in accordance with geological, statutory and survey specifications
• Inspects, cleans and washes working face and general working area, checks and cleans bootlegs. Guards and blasts missed holes. Inspects scales, rockbolts, screens and straps to achieve control of ground.
• Checks condition of travelway, work area, and equipment and corrects any unsafe conditions.
• Checks and lubricates LHD vehicle, bolting machine, jumbo drill and other machinery common to mining, and services with fuel, oils. coolants. etc.
• Shoots grade and center line from pre-determined lines and determines location, spacing, number, inclination and depth of blast and bolt holes.
• Operates L.H.D. vehicle to muck out rounds and to load broken material into trucks or rock passes or remucks at designated locations.
• Sets up and operates various types of rock drills to blast holes, test holes, rock bolt holes and line plug holes, etc.
• Installs and dismantles air and water lines, ventilation duct work and other service lines.
• Makes repairs such as tightening side rods on rock drills, splicing hoses, tightening loose bolts, etc. Change ring shanks on jumbo and hydraulic hoses.
• Procures blasting agents and accessories, loads, primes. times. connects rounds. checks and extends blasting lines, blows air, guards and blasts or sets up for centrally controlled blasting operations.
Qualification:
• Secondary School Certificate / Vocational Training/ Apprenticeship in a related field/ college program in heavy equipment operation
• Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge on jumbo rigs
• Must have a valid blasting certificate
Experience:
• 5 years’ experience in underground mining with Jumbo Drill machine.
• Experience with Twin Boom Jumbos with split feed will be highly regarded

CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to provide material supply service in respect of expediting purchase orders to site and expediting goods delivered from freight forwarders to ensure they reach on site according to stipulated lag times deliver in accordance with NLGM health and safety standards and procedures.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES OF THE ROLE
The Procurement Officer has the following accountabilities and authorities:
• Obtain a delivery date from suppliers and recording of such information on the expecting reports
• Expediting overdue orders from the Suppliers and recording the correct revised delivery dates.
• Notifying the Freight Forwarder on order picking arrangement and expediting goods to be collected and dispatched to site and track all the necessary documents for record keeping.
• Liaise with Supplier, Freight Forwarder at country of origin as well as country of destination to ensure that all documentation required for issues are in order.Source: AjiraLeo Tanzania
• Obtain all documentation relevant to the container and keep on file until container is received on site.
• Expedite container from Port of dispatch to Port of destination and then to site
• Expedite issues with the relevant parties and ensure that goods are released from port of destination within two weeks of receipt.
• Keep a record of all reasons for delay at Port of destination and take corrective action when required.
• Liaise with stores for immediate off-loading of the goods once arrived on site to avoid standby charges and container warfare.
• Keep the expediting report up date
• Provide all delivery information to the end user relating to any changes on delivery schedules
• Daily communication and information flow between the warehouse section and the freight forwarders, transporters, customs and involved agencies
• Keep record of all containers and ensure containers are uplifted on a regular basis. Control all demurrage costs involved with containers.
• Recommend the purchase of containers when circumstance require
• Communicate with supplier on purchase queries and provide advice where possible.
• Resolve queries from internal and external sources.
• Inform originators of Purchase requisitions of the arrival of the respective orders on site.
• Liaise with all concemed parties to ensure that containers are de-stuffed regularly.
• Visit Freight Forwarder companies on a regular basis to ensure that no unnecessary delays/costs are being incurred
• Escalating and communication of delivery issues to management
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Procurement manager in daily bases
Qualification:
• Tertiary qualification in Purchasing/Supply Chain.
• Must be registered with Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB)
• Must be in possession of a Tanzanian driver’s license
Experience:

The fitter Mechanics has the following accountabilities and authorities: –

• Effective and efficient inspection on each item is required for effectively maintenance planning.
• Corrective Maintenance: Repair, replace or modify various mechanical parts to minimize equipment downtime.

• Service and repair the auto electrical components of all underground mining equipment.
• Installation and maintenance of the leaky feeder 2-way radio communication system.
• Installation and maintenance of line of site remote and tele remote infrastructure.
• Maintenance and repairs to remote loading accessories to loaders including transmitters and cameras.
• Conduct regular checks on remote loading equipment.
• Conduct risk assessment where repairs are not covered by standard procedures.
• Fill out store’s requisitions with specific knowledge of spare parts required.
• Lead fault diagnostics and maintenance repair activities. Always develop maintenance procedures that focus on preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

Qualification
