Head Of Internal Audit Unit POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Dodoma Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (oUWASA) was established under section 3(1) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as repealed by section 60 of Water supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009. oUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Dodoma urban within the Municipality.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, dynamic, experienced and performance driven Tanzanians, to fill in the following carrier opportunities:

HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT UNIT - One Post - Re-advertised
Required Qualifications:
Holder of a Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or any other related field plus full professional qualifications that is CPA(T)/ACCN
ACA/CIMA with not less than nine years of relevant experience in a similar position in a reputable firm; and good knowledge of ICT systems Audit. Related Masters Degree and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are added advantages.

Summarized Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares audit schedules and work plans of subordinates and ensure their implementation.
Reviews operational systems, procedures, policies, controls and guidelines and recommend improvements.
Executes audit assignments, reviews current audit files and work done by subordinates and prepares audit reports for each assignment.
Executes value for money audits, carries out risk assessment procedures and devise risk mitigation measures.
Follows up intefoal and external audits to ensure that queries are replied and ensure that recommendations are implemented In time.
Ensures that internal audit observes year end stock taking and fixed asset verification and ensures compliance to year end finalization procedures.
Ensures that internal audit quality standards are complied.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the' Managing Director.

Self starter, able to work and plan daily tasks with minimum supervision.
Effective communication skills in writing and speaking.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment and may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and lor holidays.
Performance orientation, strongly motivated and maintain high work standards.
Team player with qood interpersonal and analytical skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and give feedback in a timely and professional manner.
