TITLE OF POSITION: Water Network Technician II (TWO POST)
Scope of the position and its expected outputs: The holder of position carries out operational faction in the water network section in accordance with set procedures and systems. The outputs effectiveness of the distribution system.
Position relationships:
.Reports to: water network Engineer
.Supervises: water Network Artisans
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Preforms all actives related to water network management- regularly inspecting and testing the network, carrying out maintenance activities, repairing break- downs, and generally ensuring that the network is in sound conditions at all times:
2. Complies and analyses bulk meter readings and functioning of other water network infrastructures;
3. Monitors the flow of water in the network and advise the water network Engineer of any trends that might impinge on the proper working of the network:
4. Investigates breakdowns in the network and proposes effective measures for repair.
5. Assigns and supervise the daily activities of the water network artisans
6. Investigates cases of sabotages/misuses of water network infrastructures , and advises the water network Engineer accordingly:
7. Keeps proper record of all tools and equipment used in the management of the network, and takes measures to ensure the safekeeping of all such tools and equipment;
8. Comply with ISO requirements on the daily activities.
9. Preforms such other related duties as may be assigned by the water network Engineer from time to time
Person specification: The holed of this position must have the filling
1. Full Technical certificate/Diploma in civil/ water resource Engineering
2. Computer literate and good command of Auto CAD or related software application.
3. Experience of at least one year working in reputable business entity since graduation
