TITLE: COST ESTIMATOR/TENDERING MANAGER
REPORTING: COMMERCIAL MANAGER / SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Skills and abilities
• Must be able to takeoff quantities off drawings and prepare detailed BoQ.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of the standard methods of measurements eg; POMI, SMM7, CESMM4.
• Must have working experience estimating using CCS Candy estimation software.
• Tendering experience
• Wider knowledge of construction costs.
• Working for contractor
• Work with Senior Quantity Surveyor and other Quantity Surveyor update cost models to reflect market / project demands.
• Must have general working knowledge of the standard for of contracts such as NCC, FIDIC, East African, PPRA, NEC 3.
• Pricing software

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare tenders to clients in Consultation with Commercial Manager.
• Prepare BoQ’s and cost documents for tender submission.
• Keeping track and updating existing cost models within CCS Candy.
• Maintaining relationship with subcontractors, vendors etc for pricing purpose.
Position purpose:
• Fill in the position of Estimator vacant for almost 2 years
• Contractor background
• Must have worked with a contractor
• Must be a Quantity Surveyor
• Must have 6 years same capacity as estimator
• Must have 3 years and above being an estimator.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineering with wide knowledge of Cost especially on finishing.
• Must have knowledge of CCS Candy

SALARY: Salary range per the commercial budget and negotiable based on experience.
Length of service: Contract Basis – Renewal based on performance.
