Description

We are looking for an assistant to support our Village Manager in Mkuranga. Our village houses 75 orphans, ranging in age from 2-17 years old. Our children are divided into 8 houses, each of which is supervised by a mother.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of our farm and the supervision thereof
2. The maintenance of our buildings, including electrical and plumbing issues
3. The maintenance of our computers in good working order

Requirements:
1. Qualified to at least Certificate level. Agricultural, electrical and plumbing expertise essential.
2. English speaking
3. A competent driver
4. Able to work safely in an environment where children are present
5. Will need to show at least 3 years’ experience in a related field.

Our terms:
• 3 months’ probation
• Consolidated gross pay: Tsh. 500,000 per month, to be reviewed after the end of the probationary period. Negotiable for the exceptional candidate
• Insurance for PPF and NHIF
• Meals provided in the Village on work days
• We would expect this person to live outside the Village but in emergencies be prepared to be in the Village after hours
