Rural Energy Agency (REA) is a Government Institution established under the Rural Energy Act, 2005 . Its main role is to promote and facilitate improved access to modern energy services in rural areas of Mainland Tanzania. The Agency became operational in . October 2007.
The Agency is inviting applications from dynamic, energetic and proactive Tanzanians with appropriate prerequisite qualifications, technical skills, competences and experience to fill the- following vacant positions:
POSITION: ICT MANAGER (ONE POST) .
Reports to the Director of Market Development and Technologies
Duties and Responsibilities ..
Designs and deploys ICT Infrastructure and information systems aligned to the current and future technological and operational requirements of REA.
Administers ICT information systems, Database and ensures that office lCT hardware snags, curative and preventive maintenance of ICT system are resolved timely.
Assists in the development of REA ICT policies, regulations and control systems
Develops the necessary communications network infrastructure required to integrate the REA ICT infrastructure and user needs;
Develops and Manager software and control systems including security, data integrity and recovery, data analysis, statistical and management reports.
Ensures REA ICT based solutions are in line with Government ICT policies, rules and regulations:
Manages ICT and provides training and problem solving to end users for computer and ICT systems related problems;
Develops and coordinates Energy Management Information System for the Agency; and
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor .
Qualifications and Experience .
Post Graduate or Masters Degree in Computer Science (Information Technology);.
Experience in managing windows-based domain infrastructure environment;
At least five (5) years of hands-on working experience in information systems analysis and programming, systems administration and maintenance, software development, configuration and support of windows active directory, corporate website design, and corporate intranet/extra net portal design and implementation;
Experience with Microsoft.NET development framework and MS SQL Server
2005/2008, Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 Active Directory 2012 Network Infrastructure and
